A woman has been arrested for allegedly getting two contract killers to murder her son in order to hide her extra-marital affair, police said on Thursday. Twenty-year-old Manjeet was kidnapped from his house in Najafgarh in South West Delhi and taken to the Sangur district of Punjab, where he was later killed, in January this year.

A 26-year-old man on Thursday cooked up a story of being robbed by four bike-borne men who also set fire to his car to make a fake insurance claim, police said. Manoj alleged that four assailants came on bike, waylaid him and tried to rob him in Narela on the outskirts of Delhi. They set the car on fire when he resisted, police said.

Acid was thrown inside the car at a fuel station at Dhuan Village here, as the car stopped there for refueling. The incident was capture on the CCTV camera of the petrol pump.
