| Break links with Haqqani network, US tells Pakistan Posted: 24 Sep 2011 03:58 AM PDT Piling up pressure on Pakistan, the US has asked its authorities, particularly the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), to sever ties with the Haqqani network of Taliban and demanded "strong and immediate action" against the outfit, even as it insisted there is no permanent breach in bilateral relations and lines of communication are open. |

| 10-year-old Brazilian student kills himself after shooting teacher Posted: 23 Sep 2011 05:14 AM PDT A 10-year-old student killed himself on Thursday in the Sao Paulo suburbs after shooting his teacher during class, Sao Caetano do Sul's mayor said. Authorities said the boy entered the classroom, where another 25 students were taking class, and shot Professor Rosileide Queiros de Oliveira, 38, who survived. He then left the room and shot himself in the head. |
