Dengue cases climb up to 1,652

As Delhi's tally of dengue cases touched 1,652 on Friday, the civic authorities admitted this was the worst outbreak of the deadly disease in the national capital in five years, and feared the situation may worsen with continuing rains. A total of 72 new cases were reported in New Delhi on Friday, pushing the dengue tally in Delhi to 1,652. Four patients have died this season, V.K. Monga, chief of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi's (MCD) health committee, said.
