Man admits raping, assaulting over 1,000 women

Posted:

A man in Germany has admitted to raping or sexually assaulting more than 1,000 women by copying a trick from the movie The Silence of the Lambs.

Forty-six-year-old Joerg P admitted to more than 1,000 offences against women in a crime spree that spanned 22 years. The trial has begun in Germany, Daily Mail reported.

Joerg used a trick from film The Silence Of The Lambs to lure his victims into feeling bad for him.

While in the movie, the killer fakes a broken arm to get his prey to help him and then hits them on the head, Joerg pretended to have a similar injury while knocking on doors and asking to use the toilet.

He has not only confessed to 20 rapes in Holland, Germany, Belgium and Luxembourg, he has also asked for another 1,000 sex offences to be taken into consideration.

He admitted that he has a burning hatred of intelligent women and told a court in Dusseldorf that he had an insatiable need to degrade them.

"I wanted to avenge myself on intelligent women," he was quoted as saying.

The court was told that his poor reading and writing skills led to a personality disorder and the need to 'prove' himself sexually.

He would stake out victims' homes for hours to make certain they were alone before attacking.

"It caused me a lot of suffering but I could not help myself," he told police when he was arrested in March.

Joerg claimed that he visited prostitutes to try to rid himself of his urges but nothing worked.

Becks' hooker reveals intimate details of sex-sessions

Posted:

Irma Nici, the hooker who claims to have bedded David Beckham, has revealed lucid details of her sex sessions with the football star.

In an exclusive interview with In Touch magazine, Bosnian-born Nici, 26, who used to work out of a flat in London's Paddington as well as in New York, revealed she had sex with the former England captain in hotels in both these cities in August and September 2007.

Her scandalous account is documented in a writ filed at the California Superior Court by Beckham's lawyer.

The papers go into extraordinary detail, often quoting verbatim from the article, such as: "Irma Nici, a former high-class call girl, claims she slept with the world's most famous soccer star five times and spills every dirty detail of the affair," reports the Daily Mail.

"After agreeing on a price for several hours of sex, David gave Irma $5,000 in cash, which he retrieved from an envelope in the hotel room safe. Then, at David's request, Irma took a shower ... She changed into black lingerie and they began to make out 'passionately' on the bed.

"The two spent the next hour engaged in foreplay ... after approximately an hour, Irma says the two had sex for 15 minutes.

"Irma ordered room service and suggested they invite another escort to join them. She claimed David agreed.

"When the brunette arrived, Irma told her to take a shower and the two engaged in a show for David.

"After the other woman left, David asked Irma to stay the night and, after agreeing a total price of 10,000 dollars, they took a bath together. They allegedly slept together one more time (in New York).

"David and Irma met up again (at a London hotel) about a month later... Irma claims he paid her about 5,000 dollars for 90 minutes of what she characterises as stress-reliever sex," added the papers.

And Beckham is suing both the magazine and the former call girl.

The writ states that the claims are false and defamatory and have caused the ex-England captain, who plays for LA Galaxy, 'great mental anguish and emotional distress'.

Father-of-three Beckham, 35, who has been married to Victoria, 36, for 11 years, is claiming 25 million dollars in damages.

Woman asked by millionaire boss to call him before she took shower

Posted:

A woman in Britain has sued her ex-boss for sexual harassment, sexual discrimination and victimisation after he called her a 'sexy nurse' and told her to call him when she had a shower.

Debbie Smith, 49, who was earning 90,000 pounds a year, was forced out of her job after her millionaire boss, Tim Watts, 61, subjected her to a stream of 'degrading and offensive' comments.

The mother of three, who was the managing director of a newly created subsidiary of Pertemps, a recruitment firm, revealed that Watts even referred to the size of a colleague's breasts on her first day.

She said that Watts, who is the chairman of the firm and whose personal fortune is thought to exceed 35 million pounds, singled her out because she was female.

Smith, from Sutton Coldfield, told a Birmingham employment tribunal that the comments started on her first day in September 2008.

"I said that I had known a fellow Pertemps employee at school. He said to me: Were her breasts as big as that at school?" the Daily Mail quoted her as saying.

"I was shocked and taken aback. I didn't say anything as I didn't want to be seen to be making trouble on my first day," she said.

Smith, who is claiming for loss of earnings, loss of pension contributions and injured feelings, said she was forced out of her job after filing a grievance against Watts.

The married businesswoman, who left the company after a year, said she did not report to Watts and met him only a few times, but he constantly made 'degrading comments'.

"It seemed that on every occasion (that we met) he took the opportunity to comment inappropriately," she said.

"He once asked me to phone him before going for a shower, which I thought was wholly inappropriate.

"Mr Watts told me I looked like a sexy nurse. These were sexual comments that were degrading, humiliating and offensive.

"Those comments would not have been made if I was male," she stated.

Britney visits boyfriend's office but leaves bra at home

Posted:

Britney Spears left nothing to the imagination when she paid a visit to boyfriend Jason Trawick's workplace sans bra.

The singer looked toned and svelte in her Daisy Dukes and a pair of sky-high wedges, reports the Daily Mail.

But despite it being the hottest day on record in Los Angeles, Britney seemed a little chilly in her tight grey tank top.

The mother-of-two went to see talent agent Jason at his Beverly Hills office before taking him out for a spot of shopping.

And it seems like the 28-year-old didn't think her questionable getup was at all inappropriate.

Hotel slammed over complimentary sex toys in room

Posted:

A hotel in Stockholm, Sweden, which offers guests complimentary sex toys in their rooms, has been criticised by the police for 'glorifying' the sex trade.

According to the Svenska Dagbladet daily, the Berns Hotel in central Stockholm wanted to expand the range of items it included in the room price.

Besides the standard coffee and tea, minibar drinks, and bedside bible, it also included sex toys such as handcuffs, stay ups and a vibrator.

"The hotel is trying to glorify something that we are working to de-glorify," the Local quoted Tom Eckerling at Stockholm police as saying.

But the hotel has no plans of doing away with the sex toys after getting a positive response from guests, which it claims is made up of a chic fashion, art and music clientele.

Though it did say that taking into account the needs of different groups, it usually removes the items from hotel rooms used by families with children.

Stockholm police have for some time been working closely together with the city's hotels to try to stamp out prostitution.

And despite the criticism over the innovative assortment, neither Eckerling, nor Berns Hotel reception manager Andreas L'Estrade, expect the sex toys to attract prostitution.

"There is nothing ugly with sex, that is something that we want to show," L'Estrade added.

I am a Christian by choice: Obama

Posted:

US President Barack Obama said on Tuesday he was a Christian 'by choice' in remarks lent added significance by recent surveys showing many Americans think mistakenly that he is a Muslim.

"I am a Christian by choice," Obama said at a backyard conversation with voters in New Mexico, in response to a question from a woman who asked him why he followed the faith.

Obama said he was not raised by a family that frequently went to church, but said that he came to his Christianity late in life, saying it was the teachings of Jesus Christ that inspired "the kind of life I would want to lead."

"I think, also understanding that Jesus Christ dying for my sins spoke to the kind of humility we all have to have as human beings." But Obama also said that the United States must stick by its constitutional requirements to allow freedom of all religions, as well as offering a home to atheists and agnostics.

A Time magazine poll in August found that 24 per cent of respondents wrongly said Obama is a Muslim. Some 18 per cent said the same in a study from the non-partisan Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life.

The surveys were taken at the height of a controversy over plans to build a Muslim cultural center near the Ground Zero site of the felled World Trade Center in New York. Obama spoke out for the right of Muslims to build the center, despite its unpopularity so close to the epicenter of the September 11 attacks in 2001.

Eiffel Tower evacuated after second bomb threat in two weeks

Posted:

Paris' Eiffel Tower was evacuated on Tuesday evening due to a bomb threat, the second one this month targeting the French landmark.

Police said an anonymous call was placed from a phone booth saying that explosives had been planted at the tower, leading officers to evacuate visitors.

No explosives were found during an initial search of the landmark.

The tower had been evacuated two weeks earlier due to an anonymous bomb threat, with more than 2,000 people affected. The call turned out to be a hoax. Its perpetrator has yet to be identified.

Concern about a possible attack has risen in Paris, with Interior Minister Brice Hortefeux recently warning that there is an increased terrorist threat.

The French burqa ban and the government's aggressive course against Islamist terrorists is believed to have made the country a target for extremists.

Plot to attack European cities by Pakistani militants foiled

Posted:

A major terror plot by Pakistan-based militants to launch Mumbai-style attacks in Britain and other European countries has been thwarted by intelligence agencies, a media report said.

Pakistan-based militants were planning simultaneous strikes on London and major cities in France and Germany, Sky News reported on its website late Tuesday.

The plan was in the advanced but not imminent stage and plotters had been tracked by spy agencies 'for some time', said Sky's foreign affairs editor Tim Marshall.

Intelligence sources told Sky the planned attacks would have been similar to the commando-style raids carried out in Mumbai.

Then, Pakistan-based Islamist group Lashkar-e-Taiba killed 166 people in a series of gun and grenade attacks in the Indian city.

Marshall said the European plot had been 'severely disrupted' following intelligence sharing between Britain, France, Germany and the US.

It is not known whether the attackers are already in Europe.

News of the planned strikes came as the Eiffel Tower in Paris was evacuated because of a bomb scare for the second time in two weeks.

"It doesn't necessarily mean it was a target, but it shows how nervous the French are," added Marshall.

When the terror plan came to light, the US military began helping its European allies by trying to kill the leaders behind the plot in Pakistan's Waziristan region.

There have been a record 20 missile attacks using drone aircraft there in the past 30 days.

"I am led to believe a number of these attacks were designed against the leadership of this particular plot, which had an Al Qaeda and possibly some sort of Taliban connection projecting into Europe," Marshall added.

"And they have killed several of the leaders - which is why the terror threat has not risen."

Britain's terror threat level remains at 'severe' following the attempted attack on Detroit airport last Christmas.

AOL has been acquiring businesses that will help it add news and other content to lure users and advertisers, while fending off competition from rivals such as Yahoo! and Facebook.

Gunman kills self on Texas campus

Masked shooter suspected to be student opened fire in main library

The University of Texas-Austin campus was closed yesterday after a man dressed in black and carrying an AK-47 fired several shots and then killed himself in the Perry-Castaneda library.

Police said the gunman was dead, and EMS personnel said no one else was being treated for injuries.

"The shooter is dead on the sixth floor of Perry-Castaneda Library," Don Hale, a spokesman said.

UT-Austin Police Chief Robert Dahlstrom said police were searching for a possible second gunman because witnesses' descriptions varied. Authorities said the search was being done as a precaution.

Austin Police Chief Art Acevedo said SWAT teams, police and bomb-sniffing dogs were working to ensure that there were no explosives. He said the area would not be opened for several hours.

Emergency sirens continued to go off throughout the morning.

Randall Wilhite, a UT professor, said, "He ran right in front of my car, fired two or three shots south sort of generally in my direction but not at me."

Several students also reported coming face-to-face with the gunman.

In a message to UT students, Powers said that "the university is locked down. All organised classes for today, are cancelled. If you are off campus, stay away. If you are on campus, lock your doors and do not leave your building."
