A teacher at a university in China received an SMS from a student who threatened dire consequences if better grades were not awarded him

The teacher from Nanjing city in Jiangsu province received the SMS message July 17, cursing her family to death for giving a student a low grade.

Thereafter, Yang received three more text messages demanding she enhance the scores or face retaliation, the China Daily cited China Youth Daily as reporting.

The message mentioned the teacher's son and warned: "I will put you in pain."

The teacher then reported the matter to police.

The student later sent a text message to apologise for his behaviour and claimed he acted on impulse as he felt the grade was unfair.

Bride discovers groom is a woman

An Indonesian Muslim woman stopped her wedding after she found out her future husband was a woman.

She learned about her partner's gender when her family gathered to read the Koran at the ceremony in western Java.

The groom did not bring relatives and suspicions were raised when "Rio" failed to show documents, China Daily reported quoting the Jakarta Globe newspaper.

Her ex-boyfriend saved the blushes after he stepped in to marry her.

"The suspicion became bigger as her heavy voice suddenly changed into a female one," the Globe quoted local police chief Krisnandi as saying, adding the groom had a male physique and had known bride Nuraini for seven months.

"The family finally got Kiman, the ex-boyfriend, as the new groom for Nuraini in order to save face in front of their guests," Krisnandi said.

Homosexuality is not illegal in the world's most populous Muslim country, though same-sex marriages are not allowed.

Kingpin of Australia's adult toy industry Malcolm Day has begun raising money for what he claims will be the 'world's biggest brothel', a three-storey 42-room mega-sex-complex opposite Sydney University on the city's Parramatta Road.

"The new complex will create the largest short-stay bordello globally. On completion, earnings are projected to double to 40 million dollars of revenue and 12 million dollars of EBITDA," according to a stockbroker presentation obtained by BusinessDay.

The top floor of the new wing will include seven suites with pool tables "and two sets of beds for parties and group bookings". The presentation also includes this line, citing the investment highlights: "Fully incensed and legal premises, with all regulatory approvals obtained - 10 year operating history."

Day is out marketing a five million dollar convertible note via his listed company Delecta Ltd, which used to be called Adultshop, the Age reports.

His plan is to run a one-for-eight share consolidation, acquire the brothel company Stiletto, which currently operates profitably out of 82 Parramatta Road, from Eddie Hayson, and conduct a share buy-back.

Britain's PM David Cameron prides himself on his 'common touch' but even he might think being asked to serve himself in a local cafe is going a bit far.

When Cameron, who is on holiday in Tuscany, asked waitress Francesca Ariani if she would bring the drinks to a table she snapped that she was too busy, leaving the PM to deliver the cappuccinos.

Ariani said, "I'm so embarrassed. I didn't know it was the British Prime Minister. I'm so sorry if I appeared rude I didn't mean to be. It's just that I was on my own and really busy.

The waitress added, "He paid with a 50 euro note but didn't leave a tip."

Fashion Flop
In the baking heat, Cameron wore a pair of shoes minus a pair of socks.
