Tiger Woods' porn star mistress sells his 'sex tape' Posted: Tiger Woods' porn star mistress Devon James has sold the alleged sex tape of her and the disgraced golfer to a DVD production company, it has emerged. "We made a deal with a DVD production company," RadarOnline.com quoted her husband, Nick James, as saying. "We're going to sell the video online and we get half the profits of all sales." Nick James said he and his wife met with a pornography studio in Los Angeles, US, this week but the company backed off from a deal because it was "scared of the Tiger lawyers". "Ultimately we found a different company and they gave us 350,000 dollars down with projected sales of 5 million dollars total once it's out," he said. He said a website featuring a teaser of the sex tape will be launched in a couple of weeks. "If you pre-book buying the tape you get it on November 15th, otherwise you it comes out for sale on the 20th," added James.
Russian company to build 'space hotel' with home comforts Posted: A Russian company on Wednesday announced plans to launch a comfortable space hotel for tourists who up to now have shared cramped accommodation with astronauts, the RIA Novosti news agency reported. The company, Orbital Technologies, plans to launch the first module of the hotel in 2015-16, its chief executive Sergei Kostenko told RIA Novosti at a presentation. A cosy fit, the first module will measure just 20 cubic metres (706 cubic feet) and have four cabins, designed for up to seven passengers, who would go into orbit using the Soyuz shuttle, Kostenko said. Up to now space tourists, who have included the Canadian founder of the Cirque du Soleil, Guy Laliberte, have squeezed into the International Space Station (ISS) along with cosmonauts and animal life including fruit flies. The new hotel will offer more comforts than the ISS, Kostenko said. "Our planned module inside will not remind you of the ISS. A hotel should be comfortable inside, and it will be possible to look at the Earth through large portholes," Kostenko said, calling it a "cosmic hotel". The space hotel will be aimed at wealthy individuals and people working for private companies who want to do research in space, Kostenko said. The space tourism programme was halted earlier this year as the crew numbers on the ISS increased, leaving no room for extra passengers. Kostenko said that the project has "found Russian and American investors, and we are talking about hundreds of millions of dollars", without elaborating. "At the moment, the project is already at the design stage," he said. The space hotel would be built by Russian spacecraft manufacturer Energia, the company's website says. It would follow the same orbit as the ISS. Kostenko told RIA Novosti that "a number of agreements on partnership have already been signed" with Energia and the Russian space agency. The company's website cites the deputy head of Russian space agency Roskosmos, Vitaly Davydov, as saying that "the suggested project is extremely interesting".
Hero's family denied White House entry Posted: White House apologise after refusing tour for wearing shorts The White House apologised for turning the family of a Medal of Honor recipient away from an exclusive tour last week because the late veteran's 10-year-old grandson was wearing shorts. Vernon Baker, the last surviving black Medal of Honor winner from World War II, was buried yesterday at Arlington National Cemetery after dying in July from complications of brain cancer at age 90. Yesterday, his widow and grandson went to the White House for a special tour of the West Wing, which includes the Oval Office and rooms that are in use. The staffer who was to lead the family wasn't sure whether 10-year-old Vernon 's attire shorts and a T-shirt was considered appropriate, officials said. "This is an unfortunate misunderstanding," White House spokesman Adam Abrams said. "We would have loved to have hosted 10-year-old Vernon and his family at the White House and we have reached out to the Baker family to communicate our deep regret and invite them back to the White House." The office of Senator Mike Crapo, R-Idaho, is working with the Baker family to help them return to the White House, said press secretary Susan Wheeler. "We want to make sure they are comfortable," added Wheeler.
Posted: Full moons are often associated with tides, insanity and creatures such as werewolves, but it turns out they're also good for brewing beer. In Peruwelz, a small, sleepy town in southern Belgium, a family-owned brewery has produced its first batch of specialist beer brewed by the light of a full autumnal moon Paix-Dieu. It isn't so much a nod to mythology as a recognition of nature's impact on the science of brewing. "We made several tests and noticed that the fermentation was more vigorous, more active," explained Roger Caulier, the owner of Brewery Caulier, which began in the 1930s when his grandfather started selling homemade beer from a handcart. "The end product was completely different, stronger, with a taste lasting longer in the mouth," he said. The full moon speeds up the fermentation process, shortening it to five days from seven, which adds an extra punch to the beer without making it harsh, according to connoisseurs. "It goes down very well, no problem at all," said Joseph Francois, a journalist and beer expert who has tasted the brew. The idea came to Caulier after he visited a friend in Alsace, who told him about how he planned his entire production schedule according to the lunar calendar. Caulier eventually came up with a nine-step process. Either way, he's hoping that Paix-Dieu proves a hit.
