An engineering student and his friend were arrested on Friday in connection with the murder of the former's fiancee, police said. Mahendra Sadhu and Hardik Gohil were apprehended for the murder of the former's finance Priyanka Ramanuj, whose body was found from a sewer on the Sarkhej-Gandhinagar Highway on October 24, they said.

Husband, wife commit suicide after poisoning kids

A couple allegedly committed suicide after killing their two daughters by giving them poison in Dausa district following a prolonged land dispute, police said. According to police, the incident took place during wee hours on Thursday in Nangal Rawatan village. The couple — Jansiram Meena, 40, and Rameshi Devi, 35, — gave poison to their daughters Komal, 6, and Pooja, 3. Later, they hanged themselves.
