Witnessing almost 30 per cent labour shortage, nearly 5000 small and big manufacturers of bicycles and parts in Ludhiana, popularly known as the country's "bicycle capital", are facing threat of closure, traders said. |

Two constables arrested after prisoners escape from their custody Posted: 26 Nov 2011 11:20 PM PST The Ghaziabad district police on Saturday arrested two constables from whose custody two prisoners escaped. "After the two criminals escaped from their custody, constables Rajendra and Shyam Singh were suspended yesterday (Friday). Today (Saturday) an FIR has been registered against them at Kavi Nagar police station. The constables have been produced before competent court, which has sent them to judicial custody," said Circle Officer (CO) II Praveen Ranjan Singh. |
