Ex-Armyman arrested for molesting 14-year-old girl Posted: A retired Lieutenant Colonel has been arrested by the Pune police on charges of molesting a 14-year-old girl who was a student in his coaching classes. According to police, 48-year-old Tejinder Singh runs a coaching institute by the name of Aroha classes in Pune's NIBM Road area. He first misbehaved with the girl, a Class IX student who studies Mathematics at the institute, on September 12, but the victim ignored. |

Afghan election commission orders recount Posted: Afghanistan's election commission has ordered a recount of votes in some areas for recent parliamentary elections, a senior official said on Sunday, raising further concerns of misconduct and fraud during the polls. Metro to reserve coach for women from October 2 Posted: One coach in all Delhi Metro trains will be reserved for women from October 2 in order to decongest the bogies. The reserved ladies' coach will be the first after the driver's cab in every train. Children up to 12 years, accompanied by women passengers, will also be allowed to travel in the reserved coach, said a Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) statement. |

Police evacuated 273 people from the jet and briefly detained a Canadian man, after an anonymous caller in Canada tipped off authorities that the suspect was carrying explosives. |
