Airhostess jailed for smuggling cocaine in knickers and bra

Posted:

An airhostess was caught trying to smuggle cocaine worth nearly 300,000 pounds into the UK, in her knickers and bra.

In echo of the movie 'Jackie Brown', Elphia Dlamini of the South African airlines arrived at Heathrow from Johannesburg with 1.64 kilos, reports the Daily Express.

However, after a drugs dog singled her out in a random search of cabin crew, the 42-year-old was arrested.

The mother of two has pleaded guilty at Isleworth Crown Court to importing cocaine.

Defence lawyer Andrew Hill claimed Dlamini "had been forced by her boyfriend to carry the drugs to the UK".

Judge George Winstanley said the amount of cocaine was "significant" and would have caused "misery".

'Dumb bank robber' busted after boasting of raid on Facebook

Posted:

A bank robber dubbed the ''Where's Waldo'' is as dumb as they come - the bandit was arrested after boasting about his raid on Facebook.

FBI agents seized Ryan Homsley after he updated his status message, as ''I'm now a bank robber'', reports the Daily Mail.

The 29-year-old had been called the ''Where's Waldo'' bandit because of his resemblance to the hard-to-spot cartoon character created by British illustrator Martin Handford.

CCTV footage from a branch in Tualatin, near Portland, Oregon showed Homsley standing at the counter in red striped jumper with thick glasses and shaggy mop of brown hair.

Homsley declared on his page that he was committing the robbery to pay medical bills and even posted one of the bank surveillance photos as his profile picture.

Friends said Homsley was a diabetic and was desperate for money to pay for his medical treatment. He was arrested by FBI agents two days after the bank raid while receiving treatment at hospital

US students register longest kiss record in Guinness Book

Two students have become the first same-sex pair to make it to the Guinness World Records for the longest continuous kiss ever -- a 32 hour, 30 minute, 45 second smooch.

But, Matty Daley, 20, and Bobby Canciello, 19, said there was no romantic motivation for feat "it was simply a plan hatched while procrastinating about a term paper, reports the Daily Telegraph.

The College of New Jersey students beat a record set on Valentine''s Day 2009 by a German couple by 23 minutes.

More than 330,000 people from two dozen countries watched portions of the event, which was completed September 19, through a live web stream.

Canciello and Daley told The Star-Ledger they had petitioned Guinness to certify the record and were amazed at the impact their kiss had around the world.

Hooker tells Becks to 'drop his pants in court' to prove innocence

Posted:

David Beckham has been told to "drop his pants in court" by the hooker, who claimed she had a threesome with the footballer, to prove his innocence yesterday.

Irma Nici insisted she knew intimate "distinguishing characteristics" which would support her story.

Becks sources branded her a desperate, raving liar, and he has lodged a 16 million pounds writ after the 26-year-old Bosnian hooker challenged him to drop his pants in court to prove his innocence.

Team Beckham lawyers vowed to step up their bid to sue her and the US magazine, which published the vile slur for 16million pounds damages.

"This should be seen for what it is - the ravings of a desperate woman," the Sun quoted a source as saying.

"She is a malicious fantasist without a single shred of evidence to support her pack of lies.

"The writs stand against her, the magazine and its publishers. The statement is further proof that she has absolutely no evidence.

"If she had, she would have disclosed it by now to one of the many publications she has been trying to hawk her story to. It is not surprising that she's had no takers," the source said.

The source added: "Attention is now being focused on the magazine publishers as to why they maliciously went ahead with this article, knowing it was based on lies."

However, Nici seems unmovable from her words.

Nici''''s management said earlier: "Irma stands by her previous statements. Any lawsuit against her is a publicity stunt and without merit.

"Any attorney who brings an action against her should be prepared to face sanctions and pay all legal costs because they will lose.

"There is more to the story that Irma hasn''''t told yet. We are highly confident that Irma can provide enough detail and other forms of proof to persuade a jury that her tryst with David Beckham did indeed take place.

"Mr Beckham had better be prepared to drop his pants in court if he wants to pursue this matter as he has distinguishing characteristics which will prove without a doubt that Irma is telling the truth.

"Mr Beckham's baseless lawsuit is understandable. After all, he has to tell Posh something," the management added.

Becks' 21-page writ was lodged with a Los Angeles court on Friday. It details his claim for around 16million plus punitive damages.

In addition to Nici and US magazine In Touch, which printed the story, the mag's publishers Bauer and its editor Michelle Lee are also named as defendants.

Not all 'flat-chested women want big boobs'

Posted:

Being flat-chested may once have been an embarrassment, but recent trends indicate otherwise.

Ellen Shing, the owner of Lula Lu, a California-based website that caters to AAA- to A-cup sizes, said that while some women do look for padded bras, the majority "don't want to super-size themselves".

"It's a misconception that you want to be bigger if you're smaller," The New York Daily News quoted Shing as saying.

An increasing number of websites and retailers are saying, "The way you are is perfect, and here's how I can help you" and not "Here''s how you stuff your bra", said Elisabeth Dale (formerly Squires), author of Boobs: A Guide to Your Girls.

In fact, women with modest busts are proudly flaunting what little they've got with a deep V-neck cut or a halter-top.

Twitter, Facebook and online blogs are witnessing a surge in online users "gushing about the lingerie and clothes that scream, ''Can you handle me?'' not ''Am I enough?'' "

Facebook groups like Flat Chested and Proud of It! and Flat Chested Girls United exist, and their members trade bon mots as profound as "im flat as a tack :)", which garner male support like "You are blessed."

Of course, it doesn't mean that no one is ranting about modest bust lines anymore. Bust magazine, with its feminist streak, has an online support group for those laid low by their tiny breasts.

With its motto "Small is Beautiful," Lula Lu is just one of several retailers and bra makers serving the band of women who make no excuses for their inconspicuous bosoms. Other online brands, like Itty Bitty Bra, require women to have a sense of humour about being "bust-challenged", as the website jokes.

"I'm okay with not having cleavage," said Heidi Brockmyre, a petite size 28A, an acupuncturist, but the new breed of bras for smaller busts just make it "more fun to wear tank tops"
