Mob justice ruled in a small town of Uttar Pradesh's Aligarh district Thursday when a man was lynched by locals after he shot dead a woman over a petty dispute, police said. Manish Kumar, 28, and seven of his accomplices killed Nisha Devi, 30, a shopkeeper in Jawan town. Kumar had an argument with Nisha Devi Wednesday over some purchases from her shop.

The body of a six-year-old boy, abducted three days ago, was found Thursday in a garden in Bihar's Begusarai district, triggering protests by locals, police said. Rishabh Kumar, a Class 1 student of Anglo English School in Begusarai, about 125 km from here, was found with his throat slit. He was kidnapped Monday on his way to school.

A new Ring Road being planned for Mumbai will cost the city 6,000 crores. The Maharashtra government is planning a 32-km road around Mumbai, from Nariman Point to Virar, and Nariman Point to Ghatkopar, with added connectivity to the Mumbai Trans Harbour Link.
