This highway connects state capital Imphal to Assam, and is the lifeline for getting supplies into the state. The highway has been blocked for over threes months long now, paralyzing life in the state capital and other districts. |

Andhra Pradesh's medical students in a fix, as government changes entrance test Posted: 29 Oct 2011 11:46 AM PDT At least 70,000 students in Andhra Pradesh preparing to sit for state medical entrance tests are in a fix. The reason? The Central government has announced that the tests will now be a nationwide common entrance test based on the CBSE syllabus, which is vastly different from the syllabus followed in the state. Worried students say there is no time to prepare for this new syllabus and want the new system to start from the next academic year instead. |
