The promoters of the controversial Adarsh Co-operative Housing Society, have decided to move Bombay High Court against the Brihanmumbai Electricity Supply and Transport (BEST) and Mumbai Metropolitan Regional Development Authority (MMRDA) for their decision to disconnect electricity supply to the society and revoke occupation certificates issued to its members.

The team members from an Under-16 football team from Gujarat have alleged harassment at the hands of their team manager who, they say, asked them to strip. The team captain, 15-year -old Ishan says after the tournament was over on Friday night, their drunk team manager, Hiren Rathod, forced some of them into a room asking them to strip and dance.


Bihar 4th phase polling: FIR ordered against Lalu

Bihar's capital city, Patna, votes today, and Lalu Prasad Yadav and his wife, Rabri Devi, arrived early to cast their vote. Lalu, who like his wife is a former Chief Minister, entered the polling station at the Digha Assembly constituency with his security guards, violating guidelines for the model code of conduct. So, the Patna district administration has ordered that a First Information Report (FIR) be registered against him.

Ashok Chavan, the Maharashtra Chief Minister met Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee in New Delhi this evening. The Congress says a decision on Chavan's offer to quit as Maharashtra's Chief Minister will be taken after Mukherjee and his cabinet colleague, AK Antony submit their internal report on the Adarsh Housing Society Scam. Antony is also the Congress General Secretary in-charge of Maharashtra.

A close look at the final 104 allotments reveals that many of the allottees are related to bureaucrats involved in the clearances granted to the Adarsh Housing Society.


Indresh shows up at RSS meet, claims innocence

Describing the charges against him as "politically motivated", senior RSS leader and an accused in the 2007 Ajmer Dargah blast case, Indresh Kumar on Sunday denied any involvement in the incident in which three persons were killed and 15 others injured.
