Congress MPs say no work, no pay is A-okay Posted: For the 12th day, Parliament was adjourned today within minutes. The Opposition wants a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) to investigate the 2G scam; the government says that's not going to happen. So like every other day of this Winter Session of Parliament, there was no question of getting to work - Opposition MPs staged their usual protests, and the unruliness of it all led to both Houses calling it a day. |
On 26/11 anniversary, Chidambaram says Pak didn’t keep promise Posted: On the second anniversary of the Mumbai terror attacks, Home Minister P Chidambaram said he hoped that Pakistan would bring the 26/11 perpetrators to justice. "Pakistan made many promises to us that they will bring to justice the masterminds of the controllers and the handlers of the 26/11 but they have not done so far. They promised me they would provide voice samples of the persons whose names were handed over but they have not done so far," said Chidambaram at the martyrs' memorial in Mumbai. |
