| Man held for carrying pistol in Metro station Posted: 03 Nov 2011 07:06 AM PDT A 44-year-old man was arrested for possessing a country-made pistol without a license at Kirti Nagar metro station of north Delhi on Tuesday. According to police, the accused was identified as Jamruddin, a resident of Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. "Police received information from the CISF personnel about the incident around 6pm in the evening. We have arrested the person and a case under the Arms Act has been registered at Kirti Nagar police station. We are investigating the matter," said DCP (Railways) BS Gurjar. |
