Facebook’s initial crew moving on Posted: Facebook, the most successful start-up of the last decade, is only six years old, and an initial public offering is still a way off. But a number of Facebook's early employees are giving up their stable jobs, free food and laundry service to build their own businesses. Greece suspends parcels delivery as mail bombs target embassies in Athens Posted: Greek police said on Tuesday the country's civil aviation authorities were suspending all deliveries of mail and parcels abroad for 48 hours. The decision comes after a wave of mail bombs were sent to foreign embassies in Greece and to German Chancellor Angela Merkel's office. |

UK, France ink defence pact on joint force, nuke cooperation Posted: Britain and France on Tuesday inked two landmark pacts to deepen defence cooperation by agreeing to create a joint force and share nuclear test facilities. British Prime Minister David Cameron and French President Nicolas Sarkozy inked the two treaties that they said would make both countries' citizens safer while cutting defence budgets following the financial crisis. |
US mid-term polls: Heated campaign ends as votes are cast Posted: American voters began heading to the polls Tuesday morning in elections that will recalibrate the balance of power in Washington and in state houses across the nation, with Republicans poised to make big gains, particularly in the House of Representatives where they expect to seize a majority, and Democrats eager to stem their losses and hold control of the Senate. |
