Lakhisarai encounter: Naxals claim four missing cops in their custody Posted: After seven policemen were killed in an encounter in Poona-Dih village of Bihar's Lakhisarai district, Naxals now claim four policemen still missing are in their custody. Eleven policemen were attacked and completely cornered by the Naxals in the night-long encounter that lasted 12 hours. Seven of them policemen lost their lives. |
Srinagar tense again, curfew imposed Posted: Curfew has been imposed in Srinagar as protesters are out on the streets once again. This after condition of a young man who was injured in police firing on Monday turned critical. The man, Yasir Rafiq, is a cousin of separatist leader Yasin Malik.
