| Fog hits Delhi flights, trains; harrowing time for passengers Posted: Fog is back to haunt fliers in various parts of the country. Thick fog in Delhi has led to poor runway visibility which has disrupted flights to and from several cities including Mumbai, Kolkata, Jaipur and Amritsar. The Delhi airport was shut for nearly an hour early on Sunday morning. Situation right now is better, visibility has improved and flights have started taking off but over 38 flights have been cancelled and many others delayed or diverted. Some international flights have also been disrupted. |
| Gujjar protest: Airlines hike fares Posted: With Gujjar agitation intensifying in Rajasthan, airlines have hiked fares on Jaipur-Delhi and Jaipur-Mumbai routes while the bookings are almost full for the next two days. Travellers have no option but to pay twice or thrice the actual fare as the demand has raised after cancellation of numerous trains due to the ongoing Gujjar agitation. |
