| Karnataka crisis: BJP sets deadline for rebel MLAs Posted: As the BJP tries desperately to defuse the Karnataka government crisis, rebel MLAs have been given a deadline. Acting on a complaint by Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa, the state Assembly Speaker has served notices to 11 rebel BJP MLAs under the anti-defection law. The MLAs have been asked to meet the Speaker on October 10 and explain their stand. The rebels are currently camping in a hotel in Goa. |
