Activists from Ukraine's women's rights group FEMEN went topless in Kiev on Wednesday in protest against visit by Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin. Police say 65 people have been killed including many women and children after a roof collapsed during a wedding celebration in northern Afghanistan. The spokesman for the provincial police says that 40 other people were wounded in Wednesday's disaster in Baghlan province. Jawad Bashart says that the house was overloaded and it was only made of mud bricks.

The school has no toilet and no facility for drinking water, the News International reported on Tuesday. So students go to neighbourhood houses if and when they feel thirsty.


US state executes murderer with foreign drug

Arizona has executed Jeffrey Landrigan for a 1989 murder in the state's first execution since 2007. Landrigan died by injection at a state prison in Florence on Tuesday night after a stay issued by a federal judge was lifted by the US Supreme Court. That stay was based on questions about the effectiveness of the state's supply of an execution drug in short supply.


100 skeletons of war victims found in lake
