The victim, Mohammed Asim Mulla Amirjaan Shaikh, was rushed to Yashwantrao Chavan Memorial Hospital but was proclaimed dead on arrival by the doctors. He hails from Karnataka.  |

| School bus hits signal, students safe Posted: Around 68 students had a narrow escape when the school bus they were travelling in, hit a traffic signal in Panvel on Thursday evening. Police said that all the students were safe and there was no casualty. The school bus belonged to Apeejay School, Nerul while the students were from DAV Public School, Nerul. The students were taken to DAV New Panvel to attend a programme and the accident took place while the bus was coming back to Nerul at around 7.45 pm.  |
