Leaked Verizon document details Android updatesA Reddit user by the name of DroidTosser claims to have the inside scoop on Verizon's Android update schedule, and has posted the images to back their story up. According the photos, the HTC Rezound is slated receive an update to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich on May 9th, followed by the DROID RAZR and RAZR MAXX on May 21st. Verizon's first Honeycomb tablet, the Motorola XOOM is currently awaiting "technical approval" and will be updated directly by Google. The DROID Bionic, HTC Thunderbolt, LG Revolution, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, and Sony Xperia Play are all in testing, however the updates aren't labeled as Ice Cream Sandwich builds and may just refer to bug fixes. A new study from J.D. Power and Associates has revealed U.S. drivers are interested in adding one of the newest and most expensive technologies to their next vehicle — autonomous driving. The feature allows the vehicle to take control of acceleration, braking, and steering without any human interaction. While the technology is still being developed and tested, 20% of all car owners in the U.S. said they "definitely would" or "probably would" include the technology in their next vehicle, even after learning the estimated market price of $3,000. Scientists running the Large Hadron Collider, aka the "big bang machine", announced Friday they've discovered a brand new particle during one of their experiments. Apple is reportedly in talks to stream films owned by EPIX — a joint venture among Paramount Pictures, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and Lionsgate — across a variety of devices, including the long-anticipated iTV, according to a report from Reuters. Two people with knowledge of the negotiations told the publication that the talks are in the preliminary stages and no agreement is considered near. The Cupertino-based company is reportedly looking to beef up the content offered through its Apple TV set-top box and upcoming devices.
