| Ilyas Kashmiri killed in drone strike: Report Posted: Pakistani terrorist leader Ilyas Kashmiri who forged close links with the Al Qaeda has been killed in a US drone attack, a media report said Saturday.
Kashmiri was killed in strikes in South Waziristan, Dawn.com quoted BBC Urdu service report as saying.
Kashmiri was the chief of the Harkatul Jihad al-Islami (HuJI) and was widely believed to have masterminded the May 22 attack on a naval base in Karachi.
Heavily armed terrorists stormed PNS Mehran base in Karachi and destroyed two surveillance aircraft. The 16-hour long siege left 10 security personnel and four terrorists dead.
The media report said that Kashmiri was killed Saturday in the drone strike that also left at least nine militants dead.
An official told BBC Urdu service that he had received information about Kashmiri's death but could not confirm it.
Witnesses were quoted as saying that Kashmiri had arrived in South Waziristan from the Khyber tribal region.
The news of Kashmiri's killing comes just a month after Osama bin Laden was gunned down May 2 by US commandos who stormed the Al Qaeda leader's high-walled hideout in Abbottabad city, barely 120 km from Islamabad.
Pakistani Taliban and Al Qaeda have vowed to avenge Osama's death. There have been a string of terror strikes across Pakistan since his killing.

| Malay women launch 'The Obedient Wife Club' Posted: A group of Malaysian Muslim women say they will fight divorce, domestic violence and other problems by appealing to wives to be more obedient, according to one of the organisers.
Maznah Taufik said 'The Obedient Wife Club' being launched today is aimed at drawing women who will be taught how to please their husbands better to prevent them from straying or misbehaving.
"We just want to ask all the wives to be obedient wives so that there will be fewer problems in our society, such as infidelity, divorce and domestic violence," she said.
"Obedient wife means they are trying to entertain their husbands, not only taking care of their food and clothes," Maznah said.
"They have to obey their husbands. That's the way Islam also asks."
According to local media, the country's divorce rate doubled from 2002 to 2009, with rates higher among Muslims than non-Muslims.
Maznah said it was also the men's responsibility to teach their wives to be obedient.
"Some wives, they just want to get married for leisure but they don't know the responsibility," she said.
"To entertain their husbands is compulsory. If she doesn't do this, the husband will look for another woman... and the house will break down."
Today's launch near the capital Kuala Lumpur will include speeches and a show to demonstrate to women how to be good wives, Maznah said.
She added that a similar club was set up in Jordan last month.
Maznah is already involved in another controversial venture the Ikhwan Polygamy Club, which was launched in 2009 to promote polygamy.
She is herself in a polygamous marriage, as the second of her husband's two wives.

| Brit spies swap bombs for cakes Posted: MI6 replaces bomb-making guide with cupcake recipe on al-Qaeda website Terrorists searching the internet for bomb-making tips found instructions on how to make Mojito flavoured cupcakes instead, thanks to British intelligence officers.
MI6 operatives were able to corrupt bomb-making instructions on an al-Qaeda website by inserting cupcake recipes
MI6 and officers at GCHQ, the Government Communications Headquarters in Cheltenham, hacked into the launch edition of al-Qaeda's jihadi magazine Inspire and garbled the words by inserting dozens of cup cake recipes into the document.
The 67-page magazine was the first online English language website set up by an affiliate of the terrorist organisation in June last year and contained a feature headlined "Make a bomb in the Kitchen of your Mom" by "The AQ Chef."
Following the cyber attack, surfers were not able to browse the articles but were confronted by a list of computer code instead.
Translated, this code was revealed as page upon page of cup cake recipes for 'The Best Cupcakes in America' published by the Ellen DeGeneres chat show.
Information on how to make a Mojito Cupcake and a Rocky Road Cupcake replaced a recipe on how young al-Qaeda supporters could make a lethal pipe bomb using sugar, match heads and a miniature light bulb. Articles by Osama bin Laden and his deputy on 'What to expect in Jihad' were also removed.
Whitehall sources believe the magazine set up by the radical preacher Anwar-al-Awlaki was not a hoax, although there have been claims about its authenticity.
They believe it was designed to appeal to young al-Qaeda sympathisers and supporters in a bid to recruit them. At the time Inspire was launched, US government officials said, "The packaging of this magazine may be slick, but the contents are as vile as the authors."
The head of the US Cyber Command, General Keith Alexander, defended the move, saying it was a legitimate counter-terrorism target which would help protect American troops overseas.

| Can't poison our people for 'spirit' Posted: Russian PM Putin retorts after being told he was contradicting 'spirit of WTO' by banning EU veggies
Despite complaints from the Europeans, Russia will keep intact its ban on vegetables from the European Union because of the outbreak of a rare strain of E. coli, Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said yesterday.
The European Union has told Russia that the ban contradicts the spirit of the World Trade Organisation. But Putin retorted, "We can't poison our people for the sake of some spirit."
Russian PM Vladimir Putin said he refused to let his citizens get poisoned for the sake of some spirit and would not lift the ban till the situation was under control
The E. coli infection has spread to 10 countries and is blamed for at least 16 deaths and hundreds of illnesses. It is also "likely" to be behind the illness of two people in the United States, both of whom had travelled to Germany recently, an official from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said.
There have been 499 cases of hemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS) a form of kidney failure in the current European outbreak, according to the World Health Organization.
Nine patients in Germany have died of HUS, according to WHO figures from earlier in the week.
Six had died of enterohemorrhagic E. coli, EHEC, a strain of E. coli that causes hemorrhaging in the intestines and can result in abdominal cramps and bloody diarrhoea. One person in Sweden hass also died.
Across Europe, 1,115 cases of EHEC have been reported, WHO said on its website.
In addition to Germany and Sweden, cases have been identified in Austria, Denmark, France, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
All but two of the cases occurred in people who had recently visited northern Germany or, in one case, had contact with a visitor from northern Germany, the organisation said.
Russia's ban on fresh vegetable imports was the strictest response to the outbreak.
Putin said that despite the complaints from European officials he would not raise the ban.
Russia would check on the validity of the ban, he said, but not until more facts emerge from the European Union about the outbreak.
