Killer drank blood, ate flesh of teens before killing them!

A German vampire killer, who drank the blood and ate the flesh of two teenagers before killing them, has been sentenced to life imprisonment

Identified only as a petty thief called Jan O, 26, the murderer admitted the killing of a girl called Nina, 14, and her friend Tobias, 13, outside the town of Bodenfeld in November last year.

His murders shocked Germany and the judge described the crimes as "excessively violent" and "a just about unimaginable dimension of injustice".

At his trial in the University City of Goettingen, a prosecutor told how Jan O wanted to rape Nina - but instead "vampiristic and cannibalistic tendencies" were triggered in him.

Before she was dead he chewed off parts of her face and drank her blood from a neck wound.

"When she was on the ground I didn't want sex any more but only flesh and blood. The taste of it made me addicted," the Daily Mail quoted Jan O as witting in his police confession.

He returned several times to the corpse with his mobile phone and filmed himself lying next to his victim, stroking her constantly.

Five days later he killed Tobias and defiled his body in the same way. He later told police that he mistook Tobias for a girl because of his long hair.

Both youngsters had been strangled, stabbed with a knife and cut with a beer bottle.

International Court issues arrest warrant for Gaddafi

The International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant yesterday for Libyan leader Moammar Gaddafi, and rebels trying to oust him said their forces had advanced to within 80 km of the capital Tripoli.

The court approved warrants for Gaddafi as well as his son Saif al-Islam and Libyan intelligence chief Abdullah al-Senussi on charges of crimes against humanity.

ICC prosecutors allege they were involved in the killing of protesters who rose up in February against Gaddafi's 41-year rule.

Gaddafi has "absolute, ultimate and unquestioned control" over Libya's state apparatus and its security forces, presiding judge Sanji Mmasenono Monageng said in reading out the ruling.

She added that both Gaddafi and Saif al-Islam "conceived and orchestrated a plan to deter and quell by all means the civilian demonstrations" against the regime and that al-Senussi used his position of command to have attacks carried out.

Gaddafi's government denies targeting civilians, accusing NATO jets staging air strikes on behalf of rebels of doing so.

Lady Gaga is being sued for more than 3 million (Rs 21.53 crore) after being accused of pocketing funds raised for Japanese earthquake survivors.

But she allegedly ripped off fans by not giving all proceeds to the victims of the March catastrophe.

A law firm based in Detroit has filed a suit against the singer hours before she headlined a gig in aid of Japan at the weekend.

Lawyers at 1-800-LAW-FIRM claim she inflated the costs of the wristbands and took the extra cash. They also say the singer refused to say how much from the accessory actually goes to the victims.

Alyson Oliver, who filed the suit at a federal court, added, "When you use your celebrity and your power as a musician to take money from people under false pretenses, that's just wrong.

When we tried to communicate with the defendants in this lawsuit, all we got was: 'Well, some of the money is being retained, but we don't really know how much.'"

He added, "If the money was going to the right place rather than into the defendant's pocket, then I hope that our effort helps that."

Colleague Ari Kresh added, "I'm suing Lady Gaga simply to hold her accountable for giving the money that she was raising for charity to the cause that she was trying to raise it for."

The singer has yet to respond to the suit.

Airport forces gran to remove diaper

95-year-old woman was asked to undergo 45-minute intrusive search during which US airport officials asked to remove her adult diaper

The family of an elderly woman in the late stages of leaukemia said they were outraged after she was forced to remove her adult nappy during additional screening at a US airport.

TSA officials stopped 95-year-old Reppert and took her to a private room where they asked her to remove her clothes for an intrusive search.

The Transportation Security Association (TSA) is standing their agents' actions, saying they were only following strict protocols for air travellers.

Lena Reppert (95), was to say her final goodbyes to her daughter, Jean Weber, before she made what would most likely be her last flight. After eight years of battling leaukemia, doctors said she doesn't have much time to live.

But when Reppert made it to the check-in line, TSA agents singled her out because she was in a wheelchair, it has been claimed.

Wheelchairs require other security measures to be employed since they don't go through metal detectors.
"They brought my mum to the side, and two agents started patting her," Weber said.

"Eventually they found something that appeared to be hard and they said could be a concealed weapon."

She said two female agents wheeled her mother into a private room where they performed a more thorough inspection, and found that Reppert was wearing an adult nappy.

After 45 minutes, the mother and daughter were given two options: either don't fly, or lose the nappy. The women chose the latter and Reppert just made her flight.

"I ran with her to the bathroom and stripped her down," Weber said. "I got back to the line and just started bawling."

The TSA said at "no instance" would an officer ask a passenger to remove an adult nappy.

The TSA would not disclose further information about the particular passenger, but said all protocols were followed.

"It's something I couldn't imagine happening on American soil," Weber said.

She added, "Here is my mother, 95-years-old, barely able to stand, and then this. She was trying to board a plane to fly to Michigan in an attempt to be with relatives as she battles the disease."

The Other Side
"While every person and item must be screened before entering the secure boarding area, TSA works with passengers to resolve security alarms in a respectful and sensitive manner," the agency said in a statement. "We have reviewed the circumstances involving this screening and determined that our officers acted professionally and according to proper procedure."

In the past
The TSA, on June 20, defended their actions, as they did in April when they patted down a 6-year-old, and in May when a video surfaced of them giving a patdown to a baby.
