This "virtual brain" is now "being put to work making Google's products smarter, with speech recognition being the first service to benefit," Technology Review writes. Vincent Vanhoucke, a Google speech-recognition developer, tells the publication that the "virtual brain" technology has produced "between 20 and 25 percent improvement" in the speech software's ability to correctly identify words.
