No compromise with Modi Govt: Sanjeev Bhatt Posted: 04 Oct 2011 06:19 AM PDT A court in Ahmedabad is hearing the bail plea of suspended IPS officer Sanjeev Bhatt. Mr Bhatt, who has accused Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi of complicity in the 2002 riots, was arrested on Friday for allegedly forcing a constable to sign an affidavit which could implicate Narendra Modi in the post-Godhra riots. The statement, in question, reportedly backs Mr Bhatt's allegations against the Chief Minister. |

"This is a much-awaited occasion in my life and I eagerly wait throughout the year to be at our ancestral house these four days," the 77-year-old Congress leader told reporters at the end of the day's puja. |

Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) chief K Chandrasekhara Rao met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today evening, demanding for immediate steps for the creation of a separate state. But, the meeting did not yield much, resulting in KCR, as the TRS chief is popularly known, declaring that the strike in Telangana would continue. |
