Lokpal Bill row: Anna Hazare appears on stage, says I am fine Posted: Lokpal Bill row: Amid concerns about his health and hunger strike, Anna Hazare appeared on stage at his camp against corruption in Delhi and said, "I have been fasting for eight days but I am fine. There is no cause for concern. The doctors attending to me won't let me die. I've lost 5.5 kilos," the 74-year-old said, seen today without his trademark Gandhi topi or cap.

Govt likely to bend, PM will be covered by Lokpal Posted: Anna Hazare's fast is in its eighth day now. That the 74-year-old Gandhian is steadily getting weaker and that he has mobilized unparalleled public support is not lost on a government now accelerating efforts to seek a compromise solution. It has called for an all-party meeting at 3.30 pm tomorrow to discuss the Lokpal Bill. And, sources say, it is considering reworking the Lokpal Bill to add key provisions from Anna's Jan Lokpal Bill. This might include the key demand that the PM be brought under the purview of the Lokpal, sources say.

Camp Anna packed, Government hunts for truce Posted: 35,000 people that gathered this evening at Anna Hazare's mass-protest against corruption were given a simple message by the activist's aides: come again, and bring others. "Let us all pray for Anna," said Kiran Bedi, "and come and hear what we have to say." That invitation is being widely accepted by Delhi, which has shown no hesitation in backing the Gandhian and his team.

Under fire, Congress MPs back Anna Hazare Posted: A call from Ramlila Maidan in Delhi has seen anti-corruption activists knocking at the doors of MPs demanding that Anna Hazare's Jan Lokpal Bill be passed in Parliament. At some doorsteps, the protestors met solid support - very conspicuously from Congress MPs like Priya Dutt and Sanjay Nirupam in an Anna Hazre cap, in Mumbai.
