11-year-old boy charged with murder of 6-year-old brother Posted: An 11-year-old Indiana boy has been charged with the murder of his six-year-old brother, making him the youngest person to face a murder charge in the state in 90 years According to the police, two boys were alone in a home in Morgan County, on Thursday when the younger child was shot in the head. Andrew''s 11-year-old brother, who was the only other person at home at the time of the shooting, called 911 to report the incident, ABC News reported. The boy will be charged as a juvenile with murder and criminal recklessness, Morgan County Prosecutor Steve Sonnega has said. Initial reports from the sheriff''s office indicated that the boy''s shooting was an accident, but Sonnega hinted differently. "There are cases where what you first believe to be true isn''t necessarily where the evidence takes you. There are lots of things we need to find out. We''ve got to err on the side of safety, and we have to act appropriately," said Sonnega. "Murder can be knowingly or intentionally. There is a slight difference. Knowingly means when you engage in conduct you know there is a high probability of the outcome," he added.

3-year-old car vandal is Britain's youngest criminal! Posted: A three-year-old boy in Britain has become the youngest vandal after the toddler was caught by cops for damaging cars in a street close to his home The boy, who is an astonishing seven years below the age of criminal responsibility was seen attacking a string of vehicles in his neighbourhood. However, the police could not take any action since a child only becomes responsible for his actions at the age of 10, reports the Daily Mail. The case has emerged at a time of increasing concern regarding the violence carried out by children, proving that crime has no age. According to figures revealed by South Yorkshire Police, kids as young as three have been involved in a variety of crimes. But, because they are under the age of criminal responsibility, many of their crimes go unreported nationwide. This kind of vandalism by the three-year-old is among 15 incidents of criminal damage involving pre-teens in the first half of the year.

Al Qaeda manual tells terrorists to pretend to be gay to avoid female spies Posted: Al-Qaeda fanatics in Britain were told to lie about their sexuality in an attempt to avoid women who may be spies, it has emerged According to Mirror.co.uk, a new terror-training manual told Islamic extremists to pretend to be gay if a woman approaches them in case she is a "honeytrap" spy sent by security services. "Many hotels - especially in busy UK cities - have women hanging around the lobby areas in order to attract men," said the manual. "A young beautiful woman may come and talk to you. The first thing you do to protect yourself from such a situation is to make dua (prayers) to Allah for steadfastness," it said. "The second thing is to find an excuse to get away from her that is realistic and sensible, such as you having a girlfriend for the past few years and you are loyal to her or you are homosexual," it added. The 64-page guide in English was written to try to stop the police and MI5 from uncovering the identity of terrorists plotting attacks on British soil, the report said. It was produced by Taliban warlords in Afghanistan and was discovered by Mirror investigators on a Jihadist website used by UK cells. It has emerged just months after MI5 launched a recruitment drive for women to work as spies. The guide was placed online after Osama Bin Laden was killed, suggesting Al Qaeda and Taliban leaders are determined to launch revenge attacks on the UK.

"Our hotels have a policy where patrons may be asked to remove headwear to help the venue manage security for staff and patrons," News.com.au quoted the spokesman, as saying. "However, in this particular incident, the patron should not have been asked to remove his turban, and we are attempting to contact the patron to apologize," said the spokesman. "Hotel staff are being educated again on correct application of the policy," he added.

Cheers & jeers Posted: Protestors oppose couple's tour and the British monarchy they represent
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been branded 'parasites' by a group of protesters during their royal visit to Montreal in Canada.
William and Catherine enjoyed a warm welcome during the first two days of their official visit to Canada, but the mood changed when they travelled to Quebec.
While there were supporters aplenty, many anti-monarchy groups came out in protest
They were greeted by a largely supportive crowd as they arrived for their visit to the Sainte-Justine University Hospital Centre on Saturday afternoon, but a group of 40 anti-monarchists were also in attendance.
The demonstrators, who were affiliated to the separatist group Reseau de resistance du Quebec, carried banners with slogans such as 'Royal Parasites Go Home' and chanted 'abolish the monarchy' in French.
But while they were vocal, the protesters were also peaceful and there was no repeat of the egg-throwing that marred the Prince of Wales's visit to Montreal two years ago.
Despite their hostility to the monarchy, some of the French Canadian campaigners seemed to quite like the young royals.
Sophie Turcot told the Province: "We don't have any beef with William and Kate. We just want the monarchy to stop legislating our country."
Canada is part of the Commonwealth of Nations a loose association of nations that were once part of the British Empire.
Today's itinerary At the end of their day in Quebec City, the couple will head to Prince Edward Island today for the next leg of their four-province, nine-day. There, Prince William will take part in a coast guard rescue exercise. The couple will also chat with rescued fishers and their families
Prayer service Prince William and his wife Catherine began the fourth day of their Canadian tour yesterday with a bilingual morning prayer service aboard a naval ship. The couple joined the crew of the HMCS Montreal for a service conducted in English and French. Fashion update: Kate looked stylish in an electric blue Jacquenta dress, by Erdem, the Canadian-born British designer who also designed the navy-blue lace dress that she wore on her arrival in Ottawa on Thursday.
Cooking up a storm Until now Prince William's only culinary boast has been that he makes a mean shepherd's pie.
After 40 minutes in a Canadian cookery school however, it was herb and cranberry-crusted lamb and croustillant a l'effiloche de canard confit and a distinctly competitive attitude to his lobster souffle.
The Prince and the Duchess of Cambridge, dressed in personalised chef's whites (see pic), were taking part in a cookery demonstration at Montreal's top chef school, the Institut de tourisme et d'hotellerie du Quebec.
The Prince did not let the protestors earlier in the day distract from the main task in hand - proving that he was a better cook than his host, Quebec Premier Jean Charest.
The couples spent about 10 minutes at each station, aiding in the preparation of various facets of the three-course meal.
Observing Prince William stuffing cucumbers with cheese, one of the chefs leading the seminar, Jean-Louis Themistocles proclaimed: "This is the best cucumber I've ever seen!" The prince grinned.
The royal couple didn't shy away in the preparation, with the prince and the premier entering into a good-natured competition.
In one light moment, a triumphant prince called across when his lobster souffle had risen better than Charest's. "It's a bit of a souffle-off," Prince William yelled out at Charest. "If you could rise to the occasion, that would be great!"
To which Charest replied with a smile: "I guess we'll have to pack (mine) it up and bring it home." Later, when the duchess presented a perfect plate of lamb, Charest chimed in: "show off!"

After wedding, a paternity test for Prince Albert Posted: Prince Albert II of Monaco faces a paternity test after his wedding to Charlene Wittstock following claims that he has fathered a third child out of wedlock, officials have confirmed.
The wedding was a glittering affair, the likes of which have not been seen since Prince Rainier III married Hollywood icon Grace Kelly in Monaco more than half a century ago.
Princess Charlene and Prince Albert II arrive for a dinner at Opera terraces after their religious wedding ceremony in Monaco on Saturday
Amid the splendour of the Mediterranean principality's Italian Renaissance palace Prince Albert of Monaco and Charlene Wittstock, the former Olympic swimmer, had their marriage blessed in a Roman Catholic service on Saturday.
Among the guests at the ceremony, which followed a civil service on Friday, were crowned heads of Europe, heads of state and celebrities there to see Miss Wittstock, the daughter of a South African photocopier salesman, became Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene de Monaco.
But as the couple took their vows, Prince Albert's colourful past threatened to overshadow the proceedings. It has now been revealed that, following the couple's civil ceremony, a senior palace official confirmed rumours that Prince Albert is likely to undergo the test after claims that he has fathered a third child.
Anonymous officials spoke of "the truth" of a reported falling out between the couple earlier in the week and of a probable demand that Prince Albert take a paternity test.
Albert already has a six-year-old son, Alexandre, through a former Togolese air hostess, Nicole Coste, and a 19-year-old daughter, Jazmin, with Tamara Rotola, an American estate agent.
Despite the development, none of Albert's illegitimate children will have a claim to the throne under Monaco law, a source said.
The French magazine, Public, has claimed that Prince Albert fathered "two new illegitimate children", saying one is understood to be 18 months old and the son of an Italian woman who is preparing to take her story to the press.

Cambodia completes world's largest 3-D temple 'puzzle' Posted: Ancient Angkor temple, a maze built of 3,00,000 blocks of sandstones, re-opens following decades of reconstruction work post 1960s
It has taken half a century, but archaeologists in Cambodia have finally completed the renovation of an ancient Angkor temple, reportedly the world's largest three-dimensional puzzle.
The work has involved taking apart the Baphuon monument's 300,000 sandstone blocks and piecing them back together.
The temple work, hampered by tropical rains and civil war, required taking apart lakhs of sandstone blocks and piecing them back again
The project began in the 1960s but was interrupted by a civil war, and restarted in the mid-1990s. The 11th-century three-tier tower draws two million tourists a year.
300,000 pieces The re-opening was attended by Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni and French Prime Minister Francois Fillon. "The work at Baphuon has been exceptional," Mr Fillon said.
Meanwhile, King Sihamoni expressed "profound gratitude to France" for funding the 10m-euro project. A French-led team of archaeologists decided that the only way to save the temple was to take it apart.
They dismantled the monument, laying all the stone blocks in the surrounding jungle. Each piece was painted with a number, matching an entry on the master plan, so the tower could be rebuilt.
But work was disrupted by the civil war and the records needed to reconstruct it were destroyed by the Khmer Rouge, a communist regime that took power in 1975.
The reconstruction was only restarted in 1995. Pascal Royere, who has been overseeing the project, said the early years had been the hardest.
"We were facing a three-dimensional puzzle, a 300,000-piece puzzle to which we had lost the picture. And that was the main difficulty of this project," Mr Royere said.
"There is no mortar that fills the cracks which means that each stone has its own place. You will not find two blocks that have the same dimensions."

DSK maid accused of being a hooker Posted: After accusing former IMF head of rape, she continued to work as a prostitute in hotel where prosecutors had housed her, allege sources
The maid who accused the former chief of IMF, Dominique Strauss-Kahn, of a sex attack in his suite in the Sofitel hotel in New York wasn't just a hotel hooker she continued to work as a prostitute in a Brooklyn hotel where she was stashed by prosecutors, sources revealed.
In fact, the District Attorney's office suspects the $100,000 she has in her accounts are proceeds from sex-for-money exploits, sources said.
Dominique Strauss-Kahn with wife Anne Sinclair leave their NY apartment
The claims about the 32-year-old chambermaid offering "extra services" to male guests at the Sofitel, and later at the Brooklyn hotel, came as he was released from house arrest on Friday.
While he celebrated with a 500 meal with his wife and friends, the credibility of the prosecution's star witness crumbled. Media reports said that the Guinea-born maid "wasn't just a girl working at the hotel, she was a working girl". A source said, "There is information of her getting extraordinary tips, if you know what I mean. And it's not for bringing extra f*****g towels."
Police said she has lied since the alleged attack on May 14. The so-called victim, whose web of lies has crippled the Manhattan DA's case against DSK, played host to a parade of paying male visitors after DSK's arrest, a prosecution source said.
"While she was under our supervision, there were multiple 'dates' and encounters at the hotel on the DA's dime," the source said. "That's a great deal for her. She doesn't have to cover her expenses."
The woman allegedly has a regular fleet of callers who range from wealthy clients to hawkers and drivers. "I can't say with 100 percent certainty that it's not true," a senior prosecutor said.
