Student organisations from the city have pledged their full support to the social activist Anna Hazare who has gone for fast unto death since yesterday with his demands over the ratification of Lokpal Bill and giving it prosecuting powers. Hazare was dismayed after Prime Minister refused to include activists in the joint committee to draft the Bill. The student wings of the city such as Bharatiya Krantikari Sanghatana (BKS), Republican Vidyarthi Sena and All India Student Association (AISA) are staging demonstrations across all the tehsils and gram shakhas of the state in support of Hazare.

What seemed to be a marriage made in heaven, turned out to be a shocker for a recently wedded man, as he was taken for a ride by a marriage bureau. Jeetesh (26) married Divya (20), in March this year through a community marriage bureau. All was well until recently, Chagan Lal, Jeetesh's father noticed scars of a cesarean section on Divya's belly. On questioning, Divya confessed that she is not a Jain and hails from a Maharashtrian family. She used to odd jobs to support her eight-year-old son from her previous marriage, and her aged mother.
