Government defends 'Telecom Raja' in Supreme Court Posted: The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has filed an affidavit in the Supreme Court defending 2G allotment made by Telecom Minister, A Raja. The CAG in its report has claimed that the losses from that sepctrum allocation could be as high as Rs 1.76 lakh crore.
Is DMK prepping for 'Telecom Raja' to go? Posted: On record, the DMK stubbornly maintains that its A Raja will not resign as Telecom Minister despite an unflinching indictment of his role in the 2G scam – the report that blames him was prepared by the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG). But privately, sources say DMK chief M Karunandhi will study the CAG report on Friday in detail to decide whether it is untenable to keep Raja in office.

Posted: From being a lawyer in rural Tamil Nadu to becoming the Telecom Minister, A Raja has come a long way, but with the Opposition demanding his ouster over 2G spectrum allotment, will he resign? No way, say DMK sources. The reason: Raja has emerged as the dalit face of the DMK, and enjoys a good rapport with his party chief Karunanidhi.
