Wikileaks episode won't affect Pak's ties with US: Haqqani to NDTV Posted: Despite the embarrassing evidence of the Pakistan Army's links with terrorist organisations that recently surfaced via Wikileaks, Pakistani authorities maintain that their relations with the United States will not be negatively affected. In an Exclusive Interview Pakistan's ambassador to the US Mr. Husain Haqqani tells NDTV's Sarah Jacob - that the US should be more concerned about the leaking of military intelligence than reports of the ISI working hand in glove with the Taliban.

Kashmir: Cycle of violence spins death, hatred Posted: A police station set on fire. An Air Force bus set on fire. An attempt to set a railway station on fire. The flames lick the air, fanning months of tension, bitterness. On the streets, a curfew is ignored by protesters marching, the steady rhythm of their force advancing forcing people to retreat further into their homes. In Kashmir, they say the fierce present is a chilling flashback to two decades ago, when militancy first took seed.

Bajrang Dal attacks couples on Friendship Day Posted: A menacing pack of men enter a park, walk up to couples sitting on the bank of a lake and, yelling abuses, start to manhandle them, viciously blackening their faces. As the couples start running, the attackers, members of the Bajrang Dal, home in on one couple and attack the girl, who is thrown on to the ground. The young man with the stunned and humiliated girl attempts to protect her, finally covering her face.

'CVC was asked not to inspect Games projects' Posted: After all the allegations of corruption in the Commonwealth Games (CWG) preparations, many are asking why it took so long to for the scams and financial irregularities to be disclosed. Now Sudhir Kumar, the chief Commissioner of the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) in 2006, has said that the CVC was asked not to inspect CWG projects. He also added that the Committee was asked to give a blanket exemption from vigilance action as there work was considered an "obstruction."
