Woman forced to have sex before husband Posted: An Australian woman, facing charges of killing her husband, was made to live with his kinky demands, which included having sex with other men before him, a court was told Friday. David and Eileen Creamer's marriage was "off the scale of normality for a middle-aged Australian couple", the Victorian Supreme Court heard. David wanted his wife to have sex with strangers and posted photographs of her on the internet to lure men into wanting her, Eileen's lawyer Jane Dixon told the jury. The photos included Eileen's legs and body, but not her face, brisbanetimes.com.au reported. According to the defence lawyer, David had come to see his wife's value as diminished in some way because, in order to stay interested in her, she really had to be prepared to go along with some of the kinkier ways of having sex. "For example, having sex with other men is what he wanted her to do for his titillation," Dixon said. Eileen, 53, has pleaded not guilty to murdering her husband. She allegedly beat him and stabbed him once in the abdomen Feb 2, 2008. Prosecutors say David was planning to leave his wife and return to South Africa to be with his first wife, the report said.
Assassination attempt on Egypt vice president: Report Posted: An assassination attempt on Egypt's Vice President Omar Suleiman has failed, but it left two of his bodyguards dead, a media report said. The attempt to kill Suleiman took place in recent days, sources told Fox News Saturday. Embattled Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak had appointed Suleiman as vice president to quell the unrest in the country. Mubarak, who has ruled the country for nearly 30 years, is under intense pressure to quit with defiant protesters gathered at Cairo's downtown Tahrir Square stepping up their demonstration. An Obama administration official said the attack took place after Suleiman, a former spy chief, was appointed vice president Jan 29. It was an organised attack on Suleiman's motorcade, Fox News said. When contacted, White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said: "I'm not going to ... get into that question." The vice president's post was empty when Suleiman was tapped for the job. The appointment took place after the protests that began Jan 25 intensified. The US is holding discussions with Egyptian officials on a proposal for President Hosni Mubarak to resign immediately and hand over power to a transitional government that would be supported by the military. The Barack Obama administration is working on the proposal for Mubarak to quit now and turn over power to a transitional government headed by Vice President Omar Suleiman with the support of the Egyptian military, New York Times quoted administration officials and Arab diplomats as saying. Suleiman backed by Egyptian armed forces chief Lt. Gen. Sami Enan and defence minister, Field Marshal Mohamed Tantawi, would immediately begin a process of constitutional reform. A senior administration source, while expressing surprise that news of the assassination attempt was just now breaking, said: "He (Suleiman) is the transition plan ... or at least one of them for the Egyptians." Egypt receives about $1.3 billion in military aid from Washington every year, second only to Israel, and has received nearly $30 billion in economic aid since 1975, according to State Department figures.
US comic to depict royal romance Posted: A US publisher is to produce a comic book about the romance of Britain's Prince William and his fiancee Kate Middleton, timed to mark their upcoming wedding. "Fame: The Royals" is described as a behind-the-curtain look at the royal couple, who are to wed in London's Westminster Abbey on April 29. ![]() The comic will contain information on Prince William's schooling and time with Princess Diana. "As Americans, we are fascinated by the British royals. They fit within our construct of a celebrity-fueled popular culture," said Darren Davis, president of publisher Bluewater Productions, based in Washington state. "But more than, that they represent an air of pomp and history that we just don't have," he added. The comic book, to be published in April in time for the royal wedding, recounts William's early childhood, his mother Princess Diana's death, his schooling and military career, as well as his romance with Middleton. Also this week a US TV producer announced the casting of a relatively unknown British actress to play Middleton in a television film about the royal romance. Camilla Luddington, will play Middleton in 'William and Kate,' planned by US television network Lifetime in time for April. Never seen before picture
Breaking wind to be banned in Malawi Posted: Malawian lawmakers will next week debate a law change to criminalise public farting, which a cabinet minister said had been encouraged by democracy. "The government has a right to ensure public decency. We are entitled to introduce order in the country," said justice and constitutional affairs minister George Chaponda. ![]() Malawi officials believe that passing gas should be done in toilets "Would you like to see people farting in public anywhere?" Since the country embraced multi-party politics 16 years ago people had felt free to fart anywhere, said Chaponda. "It was not there during the time of dictatorship because people were afraid of the consequences. Now, because of multipartism or freedom, people would like to fart anywhere," he said. Chaponda, a key figure in President Bingu wa Mutharika's government, said that if Malawians cannot control their farting "they should go to the toilet instead of farting in public." "Nature can be controlled... it becomes a nuisance if people fart anywhere." A lawyer himself, Chaponda said that under the amended law farting will be considered a minor offence. The amendment, which will make farting in public an offence, is not yet public and it will be presented to parliament for debate as part of a review by the state-sponsored Law Commission of the country's penal code. Nobody in Malawi has been arrested nor convicted for farting under the old law, as police did not enforce it. The old law states, "Any person who voluntarily vitiates the atmosphere in any place so as to make it noxious to the health of persons in general dwelling or carrying on business in the neighbourhood or passing along a public way, shall be guilty of a misdemeanour." Did you know? In the past, Christmas was considered illegal in England Chewing gum in Singapore is a crime.
