Kolkata AMRI hospital fire: A massive fire broke out at Kolkata's AMRI Hospital at around 3:30 am today, reportedly killing at least 20 people. While some patients have been evacuated, many more are still feared trapped inside the hospital building.

Kolkata fire: Chaos broke out on the premises of the AMRI Hospital with families of patients vandalising the reception counter aggrieved that no list of the dead and injured was provided. Hundreds of family members of patients smashed glass panes at the reception and threw away hospital registers.

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Wednesday appointed its dealer for Hyderabad, marking its return to this historic city where the Nizam had once owned a fleet of over 50 super luxury cars. Navy shows its might off Chennai coast

Six warships belonging to the Eastern Fleet of the Indian Navy, on Wednesday, carried out naval training exercises off the Chennai coast as part of the Navy Day celebrations. The warships included INS Shivalik, a multi-role frigate, three R-class guided missile destroyers that included INS Ranjit, INS Ranvir, INS Ranvijay, INS Airawat, the third Shardul class amphibious warfare vessel of the Indian Navy, and INS Kirch, a Kora Class corvette, currently in active service with the Indian Navy.


J Dey murder case: Seventh cellphone recovered from Jigna Vora

The Mumbai Crime Branch has recovered one more mobile phone from Jigna Vora, one of the 11 accused in the murder of MiD DAY editor (Investigations) J Dey. This is the seventh cellphone that belonged to Vora. Further investigations also reveal that Vora used Joseph Paulson as a mediator to talk to notorious don Chhota Rajan.

Doctor arrested seven months after 76-yr-old's death

Almost six months after a complaint was filed against a Borivli-based doctor Pradeep Vyas, he was arrested on Tuesday night on charges of causing death due to negligence. Hemlata Thakur had filed the complaint on June 13 against Dr Vyas, accusing him of wrongly treating her mother Minaxi Murti (76) after she was admitted to his clinic on April 23.
